Speaking to Yorkshire Live, Steve Gregson described seeing two women kneeling beside the boy, trying to help him.
He explained: "I just came out of Greggs and saw blood on the pavement. It must have just happened as there were no police or ambulance there. Just two women attending to him.
"The lad was covered in blood from head to foot. Blood was running down the pavement.
"I’m still thinking about it. I’m quite shocked to be honest; it’s getting a regular thing this stabbing now."
